Introduction and Overview
White Lodge’s success stems from the passion of our founder, Ms. Jayne Nadarajoo. Under her direction, our dedicated staff members developed a curriculum that is based on the most current theories and research in early childhood education. The curriculum grows organically, planned by our founding director with ideas and input from the early childhood facilitators who work closely with the children. We carefully consider children’s shared interests and developmental needs when planning the curriculum to help them achieve their milestones.
Using the Primary Years Programme, UK, US and Australian Frameworks, White Lodge educates not only with an academic framework in mind but thinking about life skills and the future well-being of each pupil, which complements the Montessori teaching methods. The schools facilitate active learning, involvement and discovery through a hands-on teaching approach.
Our curriculum focuses on the following subjects:
- Arts & Craft
- Sensory Activities
- Music and Movement
- Gross and Fine Motor Activities
At White Lodge, we strive to teach and encourage your children. Our ultimate goals are to help your child:
- foster a love of learning
- become confident and curious
- be happy and honest within themselves communicate clearly
- feel loved and secure
- grow their self-worth and self-esteem
- respect themselves, others, and the environment
- become independent
- show interest in the world around them
- resolve conflicts in a positive way
At White Lodge, we believe that children benefit from the involvement of all members of the community. We plan a number of activities which include contributions from children, staff, and parents. These activities help strengthen our community bonds, especially for those newly arrived in Malaysia.
Our annual concert, book week, festival celebrations and UN Day are just a few examples of the community activities we participate in each year.
